San Francisco's Persona Computing wins California State HIPAA compliancy contract

San Francisco, CA — March 29, 2002 — The San Francisco based information technology (IT) staffing firm of Persona Computing, Inc. has won a contract to service California State agencies in their bid to become compliant with the Federally mandated Healthcare Information Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).

According to Ginny Velasquez, Persona Computing's president, "Implementation of  the Healthcare Information Portability & Accountability Act will have a profound impact on the entire Healthcare industry. Anyone, private or public, that deals with any US citizen's health information in any form, computer based or paper, will be affected by HIPAA. Our winning this State contract says that we are a very credible resource when it comes to supplying qualified IT staff experienced in HIPAA information technology issues."
