San Francisco's Persona Computing ranked 25th fastest growing Hispanic business by Hispanic Business magazine.
San Francisco, CA — October 15, 2001 — The San Francisco based information technology (IT) staffing firm of Persona Computing, Inc. was ranked by Hispanic Business magazine in its July/August 2001
issue as the 25th fastest growing Hispanic business in the United States.
The period used for the ranking was 1996 to 2000. Started in 1995, Persona Computing's compound annual growth rate of 800% between 1996 and 2000 made it the fastest growing IT staffing firm ranked by the magazine.
According to Ginny Velasquez, Persona Computing's president, "We are honored to be featured by Hispanic Business magazine.
We have worked hard to develop relationships that allowed us to benefit from an IT industry that was exploding until just last year. Despite the current economic downturn, our stability and continued growth are because we have such strong relationships with our clients, contractors and staff. Plus, we are developing new areas of expertise. For example, in addition to our core IT competencies, we are now working to meet the complex IT staffing needs of a number of bio-tech firms in the area."
About Persona Computing, Inc. Persona Computing fills both contract and permanent information technology (IT) positions for a wide range of firms.
Clients include bio-tech companies such as Applied Biosystems and Incyte Genomics and other San Francisco Bay Area companies such as Pacific Bell, California State Automobile Association, Kaiser, IBM, a Northern California gas & electric company, and Longs Drugs.
Persona Computing is classified a Woman and Minority Owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) by the State of California Public Utilities Commission.
