Concord, CA - March 5th, 2011
— Over 100 Hispanic job seekers attended a day long seminar hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Contra Costa County, The City of Concord and TeamPersona Temporary Staffing. The day long seminar was held Saturday, March 5th, at the Concord Senior Center and was designed to help Hispanic job seekers create a professional resume, search for a job using the latest technology, and learn effective interview techniques. Many of the Hispanic community's most successful business leaders, along with representatives from Monster.com, volunteered their time as mentors and speakers at the seminar, providing excellent insight into career development.

One of the presenters was the City of Concord's Mayor, Laura Hoffmeister, who shared valuable job search tips from her practical experience as an
interviewer throughout the years. She also stressed the importance of networking as a valuable part of any job search and volunteering as
a way of gathering experience and expanding your network.
The event received high marks from all involved. One participant said they would be throwing out their old resume and creating a fresh more
focused one based on the tips given during the summit workshops. Another attendee, Danny
Ramirez, praised the seminar, stating "I really enjoyed the event. You all did an outstanding job
in putting everything together. I have been to seminars in the past and I have to admit, I was really impressed as to how organized everything was."
